GLEANINGS FROM THE WORD Experiencing an extraordinary God in ordinary life Issue #333 November 25, 2001 Wheelbarrows I had a van full of sod to take around the house to the back yard. There was no back alley, so it would have to be moved by hand, roll by roll. Then I remembered that when we moved, we kept the wheelbarrow for just this job. Its a small wheelbarrow, but I was able to take three rolls of sod at a time with far less effort. As a simple tool for reducing workload, a simple wheelbarrow is hard to beat. Sometimes life gets to be a lot of work, and we wish for a spiritual wheelbarrow to help take some of the load off. It just seems to heavy and too much work to carry on. Jesus has given us a much better tool. He says: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 NIV When the world presses in and gets too hard to carry, remember to give it over to Jesus, Hes there to help you carry it. Until next time may all your burdens be lightened by the love of Jesus. God bless. Kevin Do you know this Jesus who helps us through the trials of life? If not, email me and Ill share a few Bible verses that explain why a relationship with Him is important and a prayer that will make it possible. Dont carry the load alone anymore.
